So Many Events!

I have been so busy drawing caricatures at so many events here is what I have been up to. Starting at the top here I attended a wedding expo in Greenville,SC, my last wedding of 2014 in Cleveland,NC, drawing dog cartoons for Perfect Bark, caricatures for Beta Alpha Psi at the University of NC at Greensboro, drawing students at A & T University in Greensboro and finally a holiday company party for Bonset American Group. Sonny's Retirement Caricature

What do you give an employee who has been with your company for ever and is retiring? A caricature to show your appreciation! The client plans to frame and mat the illustration and have the coworkers sign the mat. I took a few photos while I was working on this project. I client sent me reference photos and I did a quick mock up of the illustration. I colored the caricature with color sticks. Color always makes the image come alive.

Holiday Gift Caricatures

This time of year I draw caricature gifts from client's photos. Here is one I did of two twin brothers and their dog LaRoy. I colored the final with color pencils. These caricature gifts are great for the person who has everything.

Caricatures for East Tennessee State University

I was hired to draw live caricatures at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City! I like to draw college students a little more exaggerated.

San Antonio ISCA Caricature Convention

The International Society of Caricature Artist's annual convention was held in San Antonio this year. This was my 7th convention in a row and I had a great time seeing the other artist's work up close. Here I am in front of my wall. I tried something different this year and painted on album covers. I also drew caricatures with markers, color pencil and acrylic ink washes.
