I have been busy! Here is a commissioned caricature with an "American Gothic" painting theme. Two dog caricatures rendered in ink and watercolor washes. Live caricatures of some company employees. A thank you commissioned caricature for a company board member. Finally two commissioned caricatures for a graduation present. I have been busy at other company and city holiday events.
The International Society of Caricature Artist's annual convention was held in San Antonio this year. This was my 7th convention in a row and I had a great time seeing the other artist's work up close. Here I am in front of my wall. I tried something different this year and painted on album covers. I also drew caricatures with markers, color pencil and acrylic ink washes.
I enjoy drawing caricatures of people of all ages. This gentleman was born in 1925 and is known at "The Birdhouse Man" in Asheville. It was drawn on Friday evening across Pritchard Park where the drum circle was going on. The other photos were from an appreciation day event for "First Responder". Mostly families of firefighters and rescue workers.
Here are two boxers I illustrated in watercolors. Used black ink for the outlines. These are not portraits. I exaggerated the bodies and features. You can see the changes I made from the photos.
