Bar Sketches

It is fun to find models to draw at bars and restaurants. These fellows were drawn at Barley's Taproom & Pizzeria, a local hangout in Asheville. While enjoying a beer with fellow artist Bill LaRocque we spotted them. They had great faces. We learned Paul is the manager at Barley's. Bill gave his sketches away.

For Toonweekly.com the assignment was to create creatures who would fit in the cantina bar scene. A chicken combined with a bodybuilder made a fun creature. My goal is to come up with original concepts.

I sketched her and wanted to make it more interesting. So I added the dragon.
