Happy Faces at Company Picnic

At large events I draw around 12 to 20 caricatures an hour.

This little guy was moving around the whole time I was drawing him!

This was an experiment of a more exaggerated head shape. I drew the outside shape first and filled in the features.

Drawing expressions and a person's "personality" is important when capturing one's likeness.

Year Book Photo

Some friends told me about a web site where and you can create a mock year book photo of yourself. It is at www.yearbookyourself.com Instead of uploading a regular picture I used two altered pictures I created in "Photo Booth" on my Mac. You can choose male or female hair styles from the '50s to the year 2000. The last two photos are my actual year book photos from my Freshman year (1982) and Senior year (1985).

"Sketch Monkey" caricature documentary

Here is a video of the 2006 National Caricature Convention held in Orlando, Florida to give you an idea of the environment of a NCN annual convention. A film crew was making a documentary and this is the trailer. This was my first convention I attended and at 2:12 you can see me working! Hopefully the full version will be available soon.(As of April 2009 the film has been postponed indefinitely because of financial reasons.)
